Unlike in the corporate world where we usually have a steady income, when you run your own business, every cent counts. And I mean it . But does it mean that you have to bend your knee to ask for a sale in order to survive?
With my accountancy background, my daily job in the corporate world is to control the spending within a given budget, or to maximize the value from the same amount of budget. For me, this is usually just a piece of cake. But when I turned myself to an entrepreneur, every minute l feel so eager to make a deal as it’s the source of income to keep my business going. And the challenge is, for accountant like me, we don’t actually have much experience in “selling”!
But does aggressive sales mean, you have to hard sell? No, on the contrary, with my experience, the less hard sell, the more effective you can get the result. Why? Because people in today’s world are able to get all sorts of information online, and people love to share their opinions, reviews, comments etc, whatever you name it. So when it comes to good things versus bad things, possibly your customers know better than you. And naturally, good things sell by itself. So I am quite picky to choose only the good things to sell, and be transparent and honest in whatever I sell. That’s how you gain the credibility that people love to connect with you, but not your competitor, for business!
As you can predict, business has its ups and downs, so you have to be willing to deal with the possibility of failure. This is why I told myself I will have to expand my potential people reach in order to increase the chance of success. “Sales” is still almost the first important thing that up in my head every morning and night. But I start to make use of my knowledge and experience as a way of content marketing and earn the passive income, e.g. affiliate revenue. I told myself, let’s go and try it out! Today’s failure will only increase the chance of success tomorrow. You never know! And that’s how the www.Executive-Lifestyles.com emerged.
How do you see Aggressive Sales vs Passion Income? How do you grow your sales?
